Embryo and Islam

In the Holy Quran, God speaks about the stages of man's embryonic development, 1,400 years before modern day scientists 'discovered' important information on creation of man and his development:

We created man from an extract of clay. Then We made him as a drop in a place of settlement, firmly fixed. Then We made the drop into an alaqah (leech, suspended thing, and blood clot), then We made the alaqah into a mudghah (chewed-like substance)...

[Noble Quran 23:12-14]

Literally the Arabic word alaqah has 3 meanings:
leech
suspended thing
blood clot

1. "In comparing a leech to the embryo at the alaqah stage, we find similarity between the two."

[The Developing Human p.8]

.
"Also, the embryo as this stage obtains nourishment from the blood of the mother, similar to the leech which feeds on the blood of others."

[Human Development as Described in Quran and Sunnah p.36]

.

2. The second meaning of the word alaqah is 'suspended thing'. The suspension of the embryo, during the alaqah stage, in the womb of the mother very appropriately fits this description.

3. The third meaning of the word alaqah is 'blood clot'. We find that the external appearance of the embryo and its sacs during the alaqah stage is similar to that of a blood clot. This is due to the presence of relatively large amounts of blood present in the embryo during this stage. Also during this stage the blood in the embryo does not circulate until the end of the third week. So the embryo at this stage is like a clot of blood.

By examining a diagram of the primitive cardiovascular system in an embryo during the alaqah stage we would notice the external appearance of the embryo and its sacs is similar to that of a blood clot due to the presence of relatively large amounts of blood present in the embryo

[The Developing Human, p. 65]

So the three meanings of the word alaqah correspond accurately to the descriptions of the embryo at the alaqah stage.

The next stage mentioned in the verse is the mudghah stage. The Arabic word mudghah means "chewed-like substance." If one were to take a piece of gum and chew it in his mouth, and then compare it with the embryo at the mudghah stage, we would conclude that they would be almost identical because of the somites at the back of the embryo that 'somewhat resemble teeth marks in a chewed substance.'

How could Muhammad (peace be upon him) have possibly known all this 1,400 years ago when scientists have only recently discovered this using advanced equipment and powerful microscopes which did not exist at that time? Hamm and Leeuwenhoek were the first scientists to observe human sperm cells using an improved microscope in 1677 A.D. (more than 1,000 years after Muhammad, peace be upon him]. They mistakenly thought that the sperm cell contained a miniature preformed human being that grew when it was deposited in the female genital tract

[The Developing Human, p.9]

Professor Keith Moore is one of the world's prominent scientists in the fields of anatomy and embryology and is the author of the book entitled the "Developing Human", which has been translated into eight languages. This book is considered a scientific reference work and was chosen by a special committee in the United States as the best book authored by on person. Dr. Keith Moore is a Professor of Anatomy and Cell Biology at the University of Toronto, Toronto, Canada. In 1984, he received the most distinguished award presented in the field of anatomy in Canada, the J.C.B. Grant Award from the Canadian Association of Anatomists. He has directed many international associations, such as the Canadian and American Association of Anatomists and the Council of the Union of Biological Sciences.

In 1981, during the Seventh Medical Conference in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, Professor Moore said; "It has been a great pleasure for me to help clarify statements in the Quran about human development. It is clear to me that these statements must have come to Muhammad from God, or Allah, because almost all of this knowledge was not discovered until many centuries later. This proves to me that Muhammad must have been the messenger of God, or Allah [The reference for this statement is on 'This is the Truth' (video tape). For a copy of this video tape please contact us].

Consequently, Professor Moore was asked the following question, "Does this mean that you believe that the Quran is the Word of God?" He replied; "I find no difficulty in accepting this."

During one conference, Professor Moore stated, "... because the stagein of human embryos is complex, owing to the continuous process of change during development, it is proposed that a new system of classification could be developed using the terms mentioned in the Quran and the Sunnah (sayings of Muhammad, peace be upon him). The proposed system is simple, comprehensive, and conforms with present embryological knowledge. The intensive studies of the Quran and Hadith (reliably transmitted sayings and reports of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him) in the last four years have revealed a system of classifying human embryos that is amazing since it was recorded in the 7th century A.D. Although Eric Statle, the founder of the science of embryology, realized that chick embryos developed in stages from his studies of hen's eggs in the fourth century B.C., he did not give any details about these stages. As far as it is known from the history of embryology, little was known about the stagein and classification of human embryos until the twentieth century. For this reason, the descriptions of the human embryo in the Quran cannot be based on scientific knowledge in the 7th century A.D. The only reasonable conclusion is that these descriptions were revealed to Muhammad from God. He could not have known such details because he was an illiterate man with absolutely no scientific training."

The signs of the arrival of Dajjal are emerging

The meaning of life - Muslim spoken word

What are we doing here and where we going to go?
its like we just woke up one morning and then its welcome to the show.
Dont ask any questions just go with the flow.
Make as much money as you can and try your best not to get broke.
Copy everything you see on the tv from the hairstyles to the clothes
and dont think too often just do exactly as your told.
You ever get confused then turn towards the alcohol.
you still hear your thoughts?
Then just turn up the radio as you learn to live a lifestyle of drugs, sex and rock n' roll.
but in all honesty, i just need to know,
is there more to the cycle than growing and getting older.
living and dying just to leave behind happy home.
and a whole lot of property that someday else is going to own.
i just really need to know before the caskets closed.
cause i'm not willing to gamble with my soul, nor am i ready to take any chances
these are just simple life questions and i'm just searching for some answers
like what are we doing here and what is our purpose
how did we get here and who made us so perfect?
and what happens once we go or is this world all really worth it.
questions we dont answer because apparently we dont really have to.
theres no purpose to this life and our existence merely natural?
in that case please let me ask you.
did you create yourself or was it somebody else who had fashioned you?
because you're being that's impeccable faultless and unparalleled.
you are a product of supreme intelligence and i'm merely being rational.
for there isn't camera on this earth that can come close to the human eye
nor a computer that can compete alongside the human mind.
and if the whole world was to come together, we wouldnt be able to create a single fly
so many signs yet we still deny.
as science tries to justify that all this could come from none
when it's simple sum, zero plus zero cannot possibly ever give you one.
so from where did all this order come?
for everything has its origins a maker a creator of its own.
i mean the only reason your watching this video is because somebody had to press upload
so you can believe in the Big Bang but i'd rather believe in He who caused it to explode
Allah, The creator of the everything along with every single soul
The Everliving, The Master, the only one who is in control
unlike this creation beyond our imagination and NO,
He's not a man nor has be any partners in association,
He's on his own.
and neither did He ever leave us alone
just like any manufacture he left us with an instruction manual
The Quran and islam and i'm sorry to jump to conclusions but it's the only one possible
the only definition of God as the one and Only, supreme being its logical
a book with zero contradictions with miracles that are both scientific and historical
all revealed over 1400 years ago
like the detailed description of the human embryo
to the mountains as pegs holding firm the earth below
and the two seas that dont mix in a complete separate flow
to the planets in orbit alternating night and day as they stay in float
the expansion of the universe and the creation of everything from H2O
to the stories of the past and the preservation of Firaun
to identify the lowest point in the land where Persian defeated Rome
the gushing fluid that created man in the gland between the ribs and the backbone
and not a world has changed its still the same
so please explain how all this was known over 1400 years ago
to a man who couldnt read or write, as he would recite what ever the angle spoke
and you still dont believe please try come up with something thats even close
but you cant.
so we took God as mockery and his Messengers as a joke
dismissed his scriptures as legends and tales of the ancient folk
as we life according to our whims, desires and hopes
saying this life is the only home we will ever know
we will live then die and simply turn to bones
YOLO
correction: after the grass dies the rain arrives it re-grows
and Allah promises to do the same thing to your every soul
and bring you back from your very fingertips to your toes
as the all Seeing Supreme Being watches us so close as we are surely being tested
in our wealth, our health, our self and everything that we've been blessed with
so believe for we will surely be resurrected
and be brought back to Lord in account for every single deed
as he hands us our books and order us to "READ"
from the bad to the good and everything in between
you, yourself are sufficient for you own accountability
so dont be mad at me,
YOU WERE THE ONE WHO THOUGHT HE WOULDNT COME BACK TO ME
i gave you a whole life long to search after me
but you were so busy chasing all that which was temporary
so read
and glad tidings to all those who believed.
but if you disbelieve, READ
and dont let that day be the first day you
find out what your life really means
READ!

Bad effects of using earphones

Using Earphones is a beneficial one. You can listen to music while working, journey. However, no matter how awesome or beneficial by using earphones. On the flip side they have its effects which makes impact on the hear loss.

Hearing Loss :One of the most side effects of using earphones listening to loud music is hearing loss. If the music volume we listen exceeds to 90 decibels may face temporary hear loss.

Ear Infections : Regular usage of earphones enhance the growth of bacteria in the ears 10 times more. So limit the usage of earphones.

Decibel Ranges : loudness is measured by decibels. If we are listening to music 8 hours/day with earphones at range of 85 decibels, the you can get permanent hear loss.

Tips and Warnings :

  • Limit the usage of earphones
  • Try to give 5 minutes break every hour
  • Don't use the earphones that are directly inserted into your ear canals because it increases the chances of hear loss.

Protect Your Kids from Negative Influences

On a flight from Colorado Springs, Colo., to Chicago, I struck up a conversation with the woman sitting next to me. She is the mother of two boys, age 10 and 14, and recounted an incident that occurred when her 10-year-old invited a friend to spend the night.
When this mom came downstairs the following morning, she found a light had been left on in the den and noticed that the family computer was on. She checked the computer's browser history and was shocked to discover that someone had visited numerous pornography sites during the night.
She confronted her son later that day, and he tearfully confessed that his friend had shown him how to access the sites.
She spoke to the boy's parents about the incident, and they immediately checked their own computer. They discovered a long trail of inappropriate sites on their Web browser and soon learned that their 16-year-old son had introduced their younger son to the world of Internet pornography.
A proper Internet filter can help block pornography, but unfortunately, that isn't the only issue facing our kids today. Tweens and teens are abusing prescription meds, dabbling in sexual exploration and facing the very real temptation of alcohol at younger and younger ages.
Stories like these confront us with a hard truth: Today's world can be a hazardous place for kids. Our children are at risk in our communities, our schools — perhaps even in our own homes. I've listed a few statistics that will drive home this point.
  • American children spend an average of 8 hours and 33 minutes immersed in media each day. This includes TV, radio, music, magazines, computers and video games.
  • 68% of 8- to 17-year-olds have a TV in their room; 37% have cable or satellite access.
  • 20% of 2-year-olds and more than 30% of 3- to 6-year-olds have a TV in their bedroom.
  • More than 76% of children ages 3 to 17 have access to a computer at home.
  • 64% of teens say they do things online that they wouldn't want their parents to know about.
  • 37% of teens have smoked marijuana, 9% have used Ecstasy and 8% have used methamphetamine.
  • 17% of 8th-graders, 33% of 10th-graders and 47% of 12th-graders have consumed alcohol in the past 30 days.
  • 47% of high school students reported having sexual intercourse.
  • 54% of teen girls and 55% of teen boys have had oral sex.

What's a Parent to Do?

When I share this information with Christian parents, the reaction is often shocked silence. While shock and despair are understandable, we have to remember that God is ultimately in control — and we are not called to be anxious or fearful. From that basis of strength, we can pursue a few pro-active strategies that help protect our kids from these negative influences:

Educate yourself about the risks.

Learn about youth culture, and stay informed about the issues that can influence your children. Two good places to start arePluggedIn.com, which offers insights about popular media, andTalking With Your Kids About Drugs and Alcohol, where you'll find effective drug-prevention strategies for your family.
An excellent book that will equip you to respond to the technology issues in your child's world is Logged On and Tuned Out: A Non-Techie's Guide to Parenting a Tech-Savvy Generation by Vicki Courtney. To teach your children about God's beautiful design for human sexuality, read How to Talk to Your Kids About Sexuality by David Scherrer and Linda Klepacki.

Provide love, limits and time.

Christian psychologists Henry Cloud and John Townsend believe the three things kids need most from their parents are love, limits and time.
Naturally, our kids need our love. They need our verbal and physical affection. They need regular doses of affirmation and encouragement.
Our kids also need limits. They benefit from knowing that there are clear boundaries for their behavior and what the consequences will be if they violate those boundaries. Our children need our guidance in order to face the many temptations in their world. Without it, they may end up making tragic mistakes that will have life-long repercussions.
Finally, our kids need our time. Far too many children and parents today are overscheduled and families are paying the price. It may sound cliché, but the wisdom is tried and true — our children need quality and quantity time with us.

Model a godly lifestyle.

Do your children know your standards regarding drug and alcohol use, sexual purity and the Internet? Are you modeling responsible behavior in these areas yourself? What type of TV shows and movies do you watch? What is your attitude toward alcohol and the use of prescription drugs? As you live out a life of integrity, your children will learn what it looks like to do the same.

Keep the lines of communication open.

Our children (and especially our teenagers) desperately need a listening ear. They long to know that they can talk to us about anything, even difficult issues like sex and drugs. When our kids tell us something that's shocking to hear, we need to be careful how we react. Rather than immediately getting angry or pointing a finger, we can ask gentle questions that will open a dialogue about the matter. Our children need to know that we're truly interested in their lives and that we'll come alongside them when they are struggling or facing temptation.

Make faith relevant in your home.

Our postmodern, relativistic culture is having a devastating impact on the faith of our young people, so it's crucial for us to be intentional about passing on faith to our children. If we give them a solid foundation of values and beliefs, they will have the tools to stand strong in the midst of temptation.
As we spend time with our kids, listen to their heart issues and live out integrity in our daily lives, they will see the fruit of our faith in action. Our children will be drawn to the Christian life when they have the chance to experience the fruit of the Spirit in authentic ways: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. The lure of the world is far less powerful if we create a haven of faith within our own four walls.

Beyond Protection

It's clear that our children face multiple dangers and temptations. We can protect them to a degree, but we also must cast a positive, Christ-centered vision for their lives.
The body of Christ needs to become countercultural in the 21st century. Our culture claims the most important things in life are wealth, power, success, popularity and physical attractiveness. American children hear this constant drumbeat from their peers, from the media — perhaps even from their own parents. But Jesus calls us to a higher standard — one characterized by compassion, generosity, service and self-sacrifice. We can teach these to our children. We can encourage them to reach outside their circle of friends and "love the unlovely" — the kids at their school who may be unpopular, unattractive or lonely.
As we seek to teach, train and protect our children, we may be tempted to isolate them in a Christian cocoon. But Jesus told us to "go into all the world and preach the good news" (Mark 16:15), and our kids can't fulfill this command if we isolate them from the world. Do we truly believe God is sovereign and that He loves our children even more than we do? If so, we should do what we can to equip our kids, and then trust God to protect them even as they engage our unbelieving culture.

The Missing Link Between Health and Agriculture

The world wide debate on the effects of conventional farming practices on soil fertility is getting a lot of attention. And so it should, as many start taking ecologists' warnings more serious and are discovering for themselves that maintenance of soil fertility is critical to the sustainability of our food supply.

Conventional farming practices see the soil as a means to an end. Driven by the dollar, soils are used and used and nutrients are drawn out of the soil rendering them as new deserts. Without crop rotation the soils are, if you will, raped of their minerals. Farmers are then forced to periodically saturate their crops with unnatural chemical fertilizers.

These fertilizers however are made up of primarily 3 nutrients N, P, K, (Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium), but as Charlotte Gerson in Food Matters asks, "Where are the rest of the 52 minerals needed for optimum soil health? They are missing!"

So poor soil health is leading to poor plant health and when plants are deficient they lose their defences and then the bugs come. Then the farmers come crying to the chemical companies for help who are more than happy to supply these deadly toxins like pesticides, herbicides and fungicides.

What we end up with from conventional farming is not just poor soil health and poor plant health but also our food supply becoming deficient and toxic leading to our bodies becoming deficient and toxic.

Over the short term these vitamin and mineral deficiencies manifest themselves as mood swings, lack of energy, joint pain, failing eyesight, hearing loss and thousands of other ailments that medical science would tell us to accept with advancing age.

Over the long term these deficiencies contribute to major illnesses such as cancer, heart disease, diabetes and mental Illness.
So where do we go from here?

As Jerome I. Rodale (founder of Rodale Press and known for his Prevention Magazine) noted many years ago:

"The health of the people is dependent upon the quality of the food they consume. And the quality of their foods depends on the quality of the soil on which that food is grown."

It was from studying the Hunzan people, who are nestled in the mountains of North Pakistan, that Rodale developed many of his ideas about organic agriculture. He believed that the legendary health and vitality of the Hunzan people grew directly out of their profound agricultural systems. The Hunzan agriculture was the pinnacle of the organic way of life and an ideal model for humanity to follow.

Their sophisticated system was fully symbiotic. The agricultural terraces where the crops grew were strategically irrigated with the mineral rich water that flowed down the mountain. Commercial pesticides and fertilizers were not available to them so instead they used the mineral rich ash from wood fires and carefully collected compost from the village.

As this process was repeated endlessly over the centuries it conditioned and enriched the soil with minerals and through their intelligent farming practices there were never any issues with top soil erosion.

This shows that the health of our soil and our methods of agriculture are critical to the supply of our food chain. And interestingly enough, top soil erosion has played a determining role in the decline and demise of many great civilizations including those of the ancient Egypt, Greece and the Mayans.

It is estimated that more than 3 billion tons of topsoil is eroded from US farmlands each year and soil is eroding seven times faster than it is being built up naturally. In organic farming, soil is the foundation of the food chain and it is therefore critically important to support organic and sustainable agriculture sooner rather than later for the health of our people.

From a health perspective when we choose organics we not only look after the health of our own body and immune system but also the health of our family, the health of our soil and the health of our planet. So everyone wins.

CAN HOT DOGS CAUSE CANCER ?

75% of all Americans do not even eat five servings a day of fruits or vegetables. That is bad enough. It is even worse with cancer patients. A study of over 9,000 survivors of six different types of cancer showed that only 15% to 19% were meeting the "5-A-Day" recommendation. That means that 81% to 85% were not. The researchers commented that these findings indicate that even a cancer diagnosis may fail to improve fruit and vegetable consumption.

Better nutrition helps cancer patients live longer. This may seem too obvious to state, but its significance is still hidden from the people who most need to know it: the cancer patients themselves. Another study found that "The majority of new patients with cancer presenting to a medical oncologist are at risk of malnutrition or malnourished." Specifically, 66% of patients were either at risk for malnutrition or malnourished. In other words, two out of three new cancer patients are eating wrong. Perhaps very wrong.

The best solution is prevention, and prevention has to start long before cancer. In fact, it starts before birth. A recent review looked at 45 years of research on the protective effect of prenatal vitamin supplementation on the frequency of childhood cancer. It concluded that "maternal ingestion of prenatal multivitamins is associated with a decreased risk for pediatric brain tumors, neuroblastoma, and leukemia." Vitamin supplements reduced the chance of a brain tumor by 27 percent. Vitamins lowered children's leukemia risk by 39 percent. Risk of neuroblastoma was cut in half. Clearly, prenatal vitamin supplements are very important cancer fighters.

Prevention must then be continued throughout childhood. To illustrate how extraordinarily important vitamin supplements are, consider this: Children who eat hot dogs once a week actually double their risk of a brain tumor. Kids eating more than twelve hot dogs a month have nearly ten times the risk of leukemia as children who eat none. However, hot-dog-eating children taking supplemental vitamins were shown to have a reduced risk of cancer.

Although this research was done over 14 years ago, remarkably little has been said of it in the news media. Howard Straus of the Gerson Institute comments: "When children die from small toy parts, the toys are instantly recalled. When the connection between hot dogs, ham and lunch meat is manifest, and it has been documented numerous times, silence."

But hot dogs? Just how important a factor are hot dogs?
Americans eat an estimated 20 billion hot dogs per year. According to the American Meat Institute's "National Hot Dog and Sausage Council," on a single July 4 day alone, Americans eat "150 million hot dogs, enough to stretch from D.C. to L.A. over five times. During Hot Dog Season, Memorial Day to Labor Day, Americans typically consume 7 billion hot dogs or 818 hot dogs consumed every second during that period." That is a lot of exposure.

What are hot dog eaters exposed to? Hot dogs and other "cured" meat products typically contain chemical additives such as sodium nitrite, a color and anti-bacterial preservative that has long been suspected as promoting cancer. Now there is a controversial television commercial that spotlights the risks to children, see the youtube video above.

The good news is that vitamins such as vitamin C help counteract harmful byproducts (nitrosamines) of heating and eating nitrites. Perhaps this is why nutritionally-oriented physicians have for so long been advocating vitamin supplements along with a no-junk-food diet for children. In addition to cancer prevention, vitamins are part of the cancer cure. Abram Hoffer, M.D., has had considerable success using high doses of vitamins as supportive therapy for over 1,500 cancer patients. He writes that such treatment "has increased the longevity from 5.7 months to approximately 100 months, which is very substantial, and half of the patients are still alive." Vitamin supplements dramatically reduce side effects of cancer therapy, and yet vitamins do not otherwise interfere with conventional cancer treatments such as radiation or chemotherapy. This makes nutritional therapy perfect for adjunctive cancer treatment, and a very good idea for cancer prevention.

People fighting cancer, or wanting to prevent it, need to eat better. That means far more vitamins, and far fewer hot dogs.

A recent scientific research affirms that hand washing is useful for it gives people a good psychological feeling while making decisions and make them psychologically comfortable. Psychologists say that face and hand washing erases fears and removes the psychological impact of man’s mistakes. All glory to Allah for Islam has introduced a more useful form of worshiping god, ablution which involves washing the face, hands, and feet not just once or twice but rather five times a day. All praise to Allah for the grace of Islam.

A new scientific research discovers that optimism & being optimistic & thinking positively has a useful effect on health & enhances the immune system in the body. And this is why we can see the good effect of religion on the psychological and physical life of a believer/ a religious person. The more the believer has faith in ALLAH, the better health & the stronger immunity system he has. ALLAH (AZZA WA JAL) says: ﴾ say” O my servants who have transgressed against themselves, do not despair from the mercy of ALLAH. Indeed ALLAH forgives all the sins. Indeed HE is the forgiver & the most merciful ﴿   Surat: Az-Zumar, verse: 53 let’s contemplate & think about these words (do not despair)…. (do not grieve) ….. (do not lose hope)…. All of them are direct orders from ALLAH (AZZA WA JAL) to his servants to correct their way of thinking & to be optimistic & to think positively & have hope.
